Acorn Donut Treats

My favorite time of year is here, Fall. Pumpkin treats, acorn crafts, fall festivals, cooler weather… Yesterday, my sister-in-law and mother-in-law were here for a visit. For a treat, my sister-in-law wanted to make acorn treats with the kids. They were such a cute idea and the kids enjoyed making them.

First, you need donut holes, peanut butter, crushed peanuts or toffee, and a chocolate chip or pretzel stick.

In the microwave, melt the peanut butter just enough to coat the donut. Then, dip the top of the donut hole into the peanut butter.Next, dip the donut hole into the crushed peanuts. You can also use crushed toffee.Top with a chocolate chip. The recipe called for a pretzel stick, but we modified with a chocolate chip. Now, you have your acorn donut treat. For our littlest, she enjoyed her plain donut hole! What a simple and fun fall treat!
