Pudding Painting Anyone?

Do you forgo finger-painting because of the mess? (Just a side note, our little spitfire thought her pony-tails would work best around her ankles instead of in her hair.  I didn’t notice it until after the photo.  She thought she was quite funny)  Do you wonder how to do it with a baby that puts everything in her mouth?  Well, I have the issue solved.  It’s pudding painting.  I tried something different this time that I wanted to share with you.  Grab a roll of Saran Wrap and wrap the highchair tray.  Then, make sure you have a small bowl filled with soapy water for cleanup and a roll of paper towels.  Fix the pudding of your choice and then start the painting.  She wasn’t sure what to do at first, but she quickly got the hang of it and enjoyed licking her fingers throughout. Warning, painting with pudding could draw the big kids into the room.  My 2 year old stopped what she was doing and came to help out her baby sister (she tried to help with the cleanup with a little finger licking, too).  Then my oldest girl came over and thought she’d join in as well.  Then when everyone was finished, I unwrapped the tray, stuck baby girl’s hands in the water, and dried them with the paper towel.  That towel was used to clean off her face and bib.  And it’s all over.  Fun, less messy and a quick cleanup!  Give it a try and let me know what you think!
