Lately, I’ve been trying to be more thoughtful in my gift wrapping. No more tossing gifts in a bag or box. No more food being placed in Ziploc bags or Tupperware containers. Now those things aren’t wrong, but sometimes a little extra care needs to be taken.
Today, I baked cookies for a friend who recently had a new baby. How could the cookies placed on the paper plate be special? Where is cellophane when you need it? As I passed my pantry, what did my eyes behold, but a box of slow cooker liners. Could it work? I placed the plate of cookies in the bag, pushed in the corners of the bag, gathered the top and tied it with a ribbon. Beautiful! What a quick way to make those cookies look special.
Don’t pass up those slow cooker liners or turkey bags in your pantry. Put those treats inside, tie with a ribbon and voila, you have a treat for someone special! Do you have any quick tips for last-minute gift wrap?
